World Cup Celebration Day

On Wednesday 25th June, Redbridge held a world cup celebration day. Despite England’s early exit, the students and staff where determined to enjoy themselves.
The morning began with a food fayre, with each class choosing a participating country and researching that country’s favourite cuisine. Students then had a chance to sample the food, and learn a little bit about that country.
The afternoon session was held outside in the glorious sunshine and Stephanie (P.E Teacher) provided football related activities. Many thanks to the sports leaders (Paulina, Adam, Daniel, Ryan, Ben, Curtis, Sam, Liam, Shaun, Luke and Sally May who helped to co-ordinate the events).
The day was supplemented by a visiting group of musicians (Ashtree World Drummers) who provided an entertaining Brazilian theme drumming workshop session in the hall, and then a whole school performance later in the day.
A fantastic day was had by all, and we wish to thank everyone who participated and especially the sports leaders who did a fantastic job.
Well done all.
